First Caribbean Twins 10
Duracell Nationals 7
Brandon Murray started at pitcher for the Nationals and walked one in his first inning effort. Murray then got on base in the bottom of the first, but the inning ended when both Corbin Abila and Hilton Bowleg hit into force plays.
Murray ran into trouble in the second with a couple of walks and several miscues by his teammates that allowed the Twins to go up 6-0. But the Twins pitcher also had some trouble of his own, when he walked David Sweeting in the bottom of the second with bases loaded and two outs, for the National’s first run of the day.
Soonafter, with bases still loaded, Murray hammered a grand slam home run to cut the Twins’ lead to 6-5.
Sweeting came to the mound for the Nationals to start the third inning. But the Nationals committed 5 errors, managing to narrowly escape the inning by only giving up one run to make the score 7-5.

The Nationals scored one run in the fourth to inch closer to tieing the game. In the fifth, the Twins’ Jarret smacked a two-run homer and Nicholas Alexiou scored to push the score to 10-6 in favor of the Twins.
Sweeting led off in the bottom of the sixth with a base hit, followed by Murray being hit by a pitch, and Abila getting a base hit. Sweeting crossed home plate to make the score 10-7, but some good Twins defense (a double play) and base running mistakes by the Nationals brought the rally to an end.
